When you connect one of our 60 litre Grundfos pressure tanks into the house pumping system, the pressure tank provides around 22 litres of water before the pump needs to start and that reduces the overall number of pump starts tremendously. The pressure tank supplies the water for 3-4 toilet flushes or around 22 hand washes or 50 glasses of water without the pump needing to start, that of course extends the life of the pump and reduces the electricity used. The installation of a pressure tank is critical if your pump is supplying water to an evaporative cooler on the roof, a fridge with an ice making capability or, any other fixture that has a very low volume demand such as some filters or reverse osmosis units.
